If you have oily skin you should wash your face with a gentle soap in the morning and evening and during the day use water to rinse off any sweat or oil that may be on the skin or that may have built up during the day.

Another factor which is often overlooked is oily hair. IF you have oily hair you should wash your hair to get rid of any oil. At night when you go to sleep and your hair is oily it will often rub off onto your pillow case and chances are (im almost 100% sure) that you will roll around at night, this oil on the pillow case will transfer to your face and also cause acne problems so consider that as an option.

And while we are on the subject keep your pillow case as clean as possible, because if you have oily skin the oil and a combination of bacteria will build up at night on your pillow case, so tomorrow when you go to sleep on the same pillow though you might have cleaned your face, the left over bacteria will still be present on your pillow which will infect your face once again and so the cycle continues.

There are some people who say that the sun gets rid of acne but i would avoid the sun at all costs, because if you sit in the sun you will sweat, sweat also contains bacteria as it runs down the body especially your face you could infect other parts of your face for me, the places that got infected were the sides of my temples.

I would recommend taking a swim in the ocean as the salt in the ocean as well as all the other minerals do have healing properties which could help your acne and many other areas of your body, mind and soul.

The problem with sun tanning is that while it may dry out the pimples, it will cause premature aging and obviously there is the cancer situation. Now you might be thinking that you could simply apply sun tan lotion, but this will just further block the pores. I think sun tanning is not good for acne skin care treatment.

There is another problem with acne, one which i suffered from and that has to do with shaving. My acne was mainly on my neck, so i had to make sure my blades were clean and that when i was shaving that i would be as gentle as possible, sometimes when you cut yourself you will find that the blood can re-infect the acne and cause you to have more acne on those areas.

Shaving should not be done each day, try only shave a few times per week, though this might be difficult for those in the work environment, but im sure if you had a word with your boss or head teachers you could get away with this.
